Please bring back the amusement magnificent brilliant Jerudong park. Its really sad when you pass by the playground. No ones around =S and more of the ride lights are off =S . We could grow like Disney Land Hong Kong or Euro Disney =S. We just need to attract the tourism.I heard about the rumors that they will replace the sold rides with the new rides. Hope those rumors are true. Please take serious action :S

we need JP to buy new rides because as far as i know, they’ve sold every last pieces of rides they have had. They need to buy new rides.. err i guess someone can create a website to collect money/donations to buy new rides and to uplift the current image of the playground… anyone interested? i’m willing to donate a small sum to bring back the jerudong playground back to life

I agree with you guys about bringing back the Jerudong park. It was the most enjoyable park we had in brunei. Lets hope it might come back one day, but make sure they will be charges to visitors. all else the park couldnt even survive without money to pay for the electrical.

they’re selling rides for $$$, so it’s not logical to spend the earned $$$ to buy NEW rides… they must have a reason to sell the rides in the first place. Most probably won’t see a JP comeback, though we all fervently hope for it.

my i suggest the owner of JP to sell that amusement park to the highest bidder in the international market. I think it will attract buyers since the infrastructure of JP is still in tack, off course extensive renovation is needed.

True..Hopefully they will reopen the JP again. well why don’t they instead get an idea of getting a certain agreed amount of payment to enter the JP and people can just ride within the amusement park. =)

i agree, recenly my family had an event there. the motorsikal racng event, if no one know btw. Neway we had a un time dere. its a nice place to hang out with the family and friends. Why not hold an event there…it would be nice to have a family event dere? Can some one please do something about this. Jerudong park is actually a real nice great place to go to during the weekend, if it wasn’t so quite:(

banar tu, cuatah jerudong park atu diubah, ane dalam buku ‘brunei year book’ katanya jerudong park atu masih salah satu attraction 4 tourist, tui, ane indah khabar dari rupa. dalam internet bukan main lawa, tapi realitinya apa, mainan sana suma tecabut2, cua imagine tourist datang sana, malu jua tu.

Well i agree that the Jerudong park should be revive, but there are some problems that have been taken notice. the rides maintenance are too expensive.they need engineers for most of the rides for maintenance purpose. electricity billing may be too expensive since it required high power electricity, staffs salary and more. long story short since brunei is a small country with less population so the percentage of people going to Jerudong Park will not be like other countries which have big population (around 1:10) but ofcourse with the help of the tourist attraction(which wont help much at the moment) the entry ticket would be at least B$50 each, well to balance all the billing and etc, and which is barely enough. so i think local wont pay that much due to ‘free entry’ overwhelming to Jerudong park years ago. I think if the government will ever want to revive the Jerudong park it will be around 10 years from now or more. They are thinking in different ways on how to increase Brunei’s standard.
i think the only way to relive the Jerudong park is by public contribution with the help of the government. By doing this, the leader community of reviving the Jerudong park contribution must be committed in order to success.

As’kum.. aku pun setuju jua JP anie dihidupkan semula pasal utk kami yg membuka restoran d sana.. nda lagi ramai mcm dulu bah, keuntungan pun kurang sdh.. liat saja byk restoran tutup sdh ulihnya pasal nada untung utang pulang byk kan membayar harga sewa restoran yg mahal atu.. kami pun d ambang2 kan tutup sdh sal $ kemasukan nda lagi brapa menggalakkan.. so tulung tah urg yg berkuasa atu, kesiankn jua kami kan menyara keluarga apa.. ada event pun time2 cuti sja.. so jgn pandangan kami anie d liat catu sja.. tulung tah ambil tindakan secepat mungkin.. sekian as’kum

make fee entrance . . just like any amusement park all around the world. . sorry to say .. most people here like it to cost free. . but now even toilet you have to pay. . no harm in paying extra fee entrance. so that maintainance of all the rides can be properly done. it’s easy to say . . but not easy to be done.. stop complaining think how to solve it together.

1) Raise money from public
Encorage local artist to have GIGs in JP at the usual place (love & miss the battle of the band)
2) Allocate fund from Tourism sector, KKBS or relevant sectors and ministries
3) Open the park during weekend, public holiday and school holiday only.
4) Issue member card for frequent vistors
5) Differential in entrance free e.g low for local, higher for foreigner (done in Malaysia)
6) Organise more events in JP as the venue ( rental fee… yay more $ for JP)
7) Replace the clowns with ‘maskot’ please…
9) GET THOSE LOCAL ENGINEER SCHOLARSHIPPED BY GOVT to work there..
10) Enlist scholarships for locals - send them to study needed degree, bond them with the govt. (study dentistry jadi guru tah plg- apa toh?)
11) Against all odd, if needed baru tah list JP for sale but 50% sja.. shareholding… open to local public kah…

Those colourful lights.. Those fun rides and the sounds of the lively Jerudong Park.. were once on the top of Brunei and the most spectacular spot ever in the country.. but now the sounds only remains as memories in the eyes of our mind..
Why? Why is it happening? It happened already.. No more rides.. No more lights.. No more noises of children, kids and people filling the park.. What you can see clearly is just a park as “perhiasan di Jerudong” and “kesunyian memenuhi taman Jerudong”
Isn’t that a sad thing to hear? This is an issue to us especially those who concerns about JP, like myself. I am just contributing opinion of what I think.

The last time I ever played the BUMPER CAR was during the DST broadband roadshow promotion this year. There, they were distributing this discount coupon for all rides. So rushed to JP and I think Bumper Car ja bukan time atu.. so me and my family played there..muaskan hati.. siuk kli ah mlanggar2.. na kira sakit kh nda.. na ingau..maklumlah batah udah na mrasa dari knak2 udah..
Udah esuknya, abis besangalan badan dari impak bemain bumper car atu..
BUT IT WAS AWESOME.. i miss that…
Anyway, what I can say is:
“A LITTLE contribution from a SMALL population of Brunei can make a GREAT DIFFERENCE to JP”
or
“pemberian SEDIKIT daripada sebilangan penduduk Brunei yang KECIL ini boleh memberikan kelainan BESAR kepada JP”

Uwaaaa.. I grew up going to JP every freaking weekends..
Ohhh the Big Pirate Ship..
The waterlog ride..
Junior bumper car..
Simulator..
etc etc etc..
It was like..As if my whole family from KB went down to BSB just to go to JP..And hang out with family..
As if it was the beach..We picnic at JP..
We take baskets and baskets filled with food with us..
Sit on the field and watch the little children running around the playground..
Was brunei desperately need money that time?? I mean when they start to charge entrance fee to JP???
It cause nothing but chaos..
People stopped going to JP..
Another reason why i dont go to JP anymore is bcz the maintenace company was not Australian and all anymore..I think what i heard, now its like Thai or Indonesians..Not that they’re not good..But..errrr..i dont feel the security of the maintenance as much as the Australians and all..
Ohhh..i used to enjoy watching at the faces filled with joy and laughter..
what exactly happened, i dont know..
first i heard the authorities are going to replace the rides with the new ones..but it was not true..i got disappointed..
I MISS HANGING OUT WITH FAMILY AD FRIENDS JUST BY GOING TO JP..
We dont really mind the paying..But taking off most of the favourite rides?????????? sobsobsob..so not a good idea..

i also would like to see the comeback of the JP… but there is just one problem…
hehehe aku ne nada jua niat kan nyakiti sapa2… jn mrh ye f tesinggung… hmm i dont think we will see the reopening of the JP in the near future… okay to those JP fans(including me) try to be more realistic although its kinda nice to see Bruneians being optimistic;)… okay think about this, the cost of Reopening JP will be in the manner of hundreds of millions if not billions… okay fair enough it maybe a good investment for those who can afford it… but why do you think giant company like Disney doesn’t want to invest in Brunei… certainly they can afford to do so… even Malaysia, in my opinion, which has much more significant market strategy value than Brunei pun nada disney land… okay think about this… if ppl are to be charged $5/person per entry… even with every Bruneian (population about 400,000) come to JP in one month… dorang dapat 2 juta saja tuh… of course you can say about the profits from ampetheathre, tourism and so on… do you know how many tourist that come to our country, i based my conclusion cuz i’ve once worked in a tour company, its just a handful of them, n most of the westerners are just in transit… the expenses ntok gaji pekerja g, bil letrik, air g pa n most important of all ntok mentenence bah atau service kata urang… kan nyruh urang Australia? untung dua juta kana ktawakan saja… n furthurmore if you are some gov’t official that “can make the difference”… you have hundreds of millions, which would you consider to develop? an entertainment park that would only incurred load sums of money loss per year or you would consider education, housing for the citizens, repairing vandalized properties and the list goes on… i dont know so much about business, but i think business man is right… and as for my favorite ride… pusing lagi kana jual uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cant you just leave that one alone???….. kay thank you for reading n buang masa ntok baca posting ku yg nada mbg pedah ne… hehehehe kay bye~

Awo nda lagi rugi2 duit entry sna, Ada aritu kmi pegi kami bali ticket main tarus kan main water splash ah…masuk ke sana jalan lagi jauh gelap beyamuk &bau longkang,tau2 ksana tutup ani wah atu sasak ku,adiku cian durang kan main ah…Apa nganya tinggal ah mainan basar superkat kah..lau main 2 ke 3 kali mesti bayar lagi cubath bagi muka ah tau dah mainan sikit,sama permainan dinosur tu.Kan relex and relez tension pun nda dapat jadi kusut pulang..melihat kaadaan yang sunyi,gelap &kotor malulah lagipun nada tempat kan di pegih lagi iatah orang suka kluar negeri..Masa ku pegih sana ada tourist lagi tu sian usul durang nada apa kan dimain.Mesti durang heran napa cematu jadinya JP..PLz ambil tindakan lau buleh barukan lagi..Buatlah seperti dulu nda payahtah bayar2..kesian bh lau ada orang susah nda berduit.Tarik attention pelancong lagi macam dulu k..

JP do have high potential to be One of Brunei\’s Jewels of Wonders….It\’s totally worth it for the JP managements to cooperate closely with the tourism board to seek for alternatives in terms of ways in finding ways of reestablishing JP glorious days like before… I’m quite sure that with great commitment and brilliant ideas..JP will able to revive itself and firmly placing itself with other famous regional & world class playgrounds..like Genting Highlands in Malaysia, Sentosa in Singapore, Disneyland Hongkong, Korea and even Disneylang in Florida, USA. All these is not impossible to achieve.

My family and I loved JP, had so much fun and wonderful memories when we were residents in Brunei. And every time we go to Brunei, JP is a must.
Last Sat I took a group of friends on a first time visit to Brunei and we were utterly disappointed by the sight. To me, it was like a piece of my heart was ripped off my chest!! Gone is the glory… It seems like the whole place was looted!! My favourite Pony Express and every thing else was in ruins.. the place was pitch dark, en route to Supakarts… I wanted to cry!!! Argh!!!

we should all help the government.. i agree, kitani smua patut buat some kind of advertisement ka apa ka untuk bangunkan balik JP, kalau buleh better than dulu.. i hope some1 from the government know yang kitani org2 brunei concern psl future tu.. oil and gas industry bukan lama bah.. so why not bangkitkan tourism.. we have a lot of brilliant people yang bersemangat kan bangkitkan brunei ani.. bukan saja dari category org2 pandai.. stau ku mun ku bercerita pasal risau tentang brunei ani, org2 yang pandai plng inda ingau, yang sadang2 ani plng yang bersemangat..

YES YES and YES! i want those amazing rides in JP back. esp the PUSING LAGI. if yg berkenaan cant afford to buy those rides, adakan the donating programme. through sms or maybe place a box to donate in some shopping complex. pleaseeee! make it interesting to the tourist. and if one day JP is back, kurangkan lah the ticket fee. no need to mahal2.
